This year’s program will highlight how enterprises can optimise employee, customer and partner connections, and drive stronger communities for measurable business outcomes. Attendees will choose amongst more than 60 breakout sessions—including presentations by Akamai, Allscripts, Dell, DISH, Ellucian, Leidos, Lexmark, McGraw-Hill Education, NASA, Pearson, Providence St. Joseph Health, Reingold, STMicroelectronics, Telefónica Germany, T-Mobile, Trinity Health, the U.S. Army and Verizon.
Special guests at JiveWorld this year will include social scientist and author Dacher Keltner and NASA astronaut Mark Kelly. Keltner, one of the scientific minds behind the popular Pixar movie ‘Inside Out,’ is a professor of psychology at University of California, Berkeley, where he directs the Berkeley Social Interaction Lab and the Greater Good Science Center. Kelly is an American astronaut, retired United States Navy Captain, New York Times best-selling author and entrepreneur who exemplifies leadership, the importance of teamwork and courage under pressure.
“At this year’s JiveWorld, we will demonstrate how to leverage collaboration hubs to dial up human interaction and connection—a topic more critically important for businesses than ever before,” said Elisa Steele, CEO of Jive Software. “Today’s organisations are increasingly dispersed, and new conversational apps and enterprise systems are actually getting in the way by causing an IT nightmare and creating even more disconnected work groups. Such fragmentation of people, conversations, content, systems, actions and information hinders productivity, yet there’s a solution that brings them all together. I’m inspired by the many companies tapping into Jive to uncover game-changing business value through a deeper understanding of these underlying interrelationships and how work gets done.”
JiveWorld17 will bring together Jive customers, developers and technology partners to share best practices in advanced internal and external community management and employee engagement. Elisa Steele and Jive executive vice president of engineering, Ofer Ben-David, will share the company’s vision for the future of intelligent work graphs and collaboration hubs, and announce Jive’s 2017 Digital Transformation Award winners.
Pre-conference events on May 1, 2017 will include the third annual Jive Healthcare Summit, where industry experts will exchange ideas about how medical education and wellness communities can help improve patient experiences and optimise care delivery. In addition, this year Jive will host its first Federal Summit, which will cover collaboration best practices and advanced security compliance solutions specific to government agencies and contractors. Finally, the JiveWorld17 Developers conference will feature a tri-hackathon in the Hacker Lounge, where developers will be challenged to show not only their enterprise coding skills, but also to participate in a LEGO derby race on a sensor-connected track, or join in a classic video game competition.
