The latest training offer from the British Safety Council is a five-day IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management leading to Associate Membership of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA). The classroom course, will be launched on 1 January 2017.
The British Safety Council’s course will help students gain an understanding of the key environmental challenges facing the business world today and the importance of developing sustainable solutions.
The British Safety Council’s engaging, scenario-based course is taught using the latest learning strategies and techniques that are proven to deliver excellent results. Students will greatly benefit from British Safety Council’s student-centred approach to learning, which incorporates a variety of enjoyable collaborative and independent tasks. It is a far cry from traditional courses where students spend their days scribbling notes while listening to lectures based on Power Point slides.
During the British Safety Council’s course, students will apply their new learning to their own company and be challenged to deepen their understanding by competing in teams to develop the most sustainable and profitable lifecycle for a less familiar product. Guided by experienced tutors, students will be prepared to deal with future professional challenges, as well as being given the essential knowledge and skills for exam success.
The British Safety Council will deliver the new IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management from its London-based training facility, which is easily accessible by public transport and catered by a professional chef, as well as in its Birmingham and Manchester training centres. The British Safety Council can also be contracted to deliver this course in house to companies who prefer this option.
Mike Robinson, Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, said:
“The strategic objective of leading organisations in the 21st century is to contribute to long-term value creation which benefits the society and the environment, as well as being good for business.
“The new British Safety Council IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management course will give students the skills to deliver environmentally responsible solutions and enhance students’ employability in this fast-growing area of expertise.”
